Zach Myers Locking tuner replacement - cuation

Just dropped a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat in the neck position of my blue ZM. Moved it away from the strings a bit and OMG! It has that David Gilmour strat neck position sound only 10 times fatter. That sick bluesy crying tone. Had it close to the strings and noticed it was too loud. Moved it...

Zach Myers Locking tuner replacement - cuation

Screws that came with the Klusons were too small. I used the stock screws. And yes, the tuners dropped into the stock bushings perfectly.

Zach Myers Locking tuner replacement - cuation

Honestly I put 2 of the new ones in and stopped for the same reason your stating. I just left the other 4 original collars in. The black ones were very tight but I like your idea of using a clamp to press them in. Maybe lube it with some wood oil also?

    Combo Amplifiers

I’ve been searching and searching. Recently watched another video demo and the clean channel sounded thin on the Blackstar HT Stage 60 2x12— Even looked at PRS Sanzora. THIN I think I’m going with the Fender Hot Rod Deville Mark Landau signature and throw a Soul Food OD in front of it. It’s a...

    Scales: The Missing Link

Can’t play G major pentatonic over D? The G major pentatonic scale contains the 1, minor 2, 4th, 5th, AND the minor 6th of D. You’re already creating the F# tension playing the D Major chord. The F# is playing THE WHOLE TIME and creates different tensions under certain notes. D isn’t in the C...

    Scales: The Missing Link

Can you play the G major pentatonic over a G7 chord? How about C? D? G? G7? Yes. C? No because it implies Cmajor7 which isn't specified by the chord. D? No because G major pentatonic only contains the root and 5th of D and misses the tension/resolution of the F# in the D G? Obviously. You’re...

    Scales: The Missing Link

I’m going to explain this and your going to have an epiphany when you realize how simple this is. Your creativity will explode and you’ll wonder why no one ever explained it this way before. The 7 modes are not ordered randomly. Every mode is found in EVERY MAJOR KEY. There are 7 notes in the...

    Combo Amplifiers

I’ve been searching and searching YouTube demos and never heard anything that stood out and grabbed me. The Marshal Origin kind of grabbed my ear compared to the other giants but nothing really jumped off the screen into my soul. Until today. In my opinion, nothing I reviewed on YouTube demos...

Zach Myers Locking tuner replacement - cuation

You definitely do not have to cut yourself to play chords. The 7—38 force you to play relaxed which is what you are supposed to do anyway. The bends are like air.

Zach Myers Locking tuner replacement - cuation

Honestly the stock tuners are crap. Kluson 19:1 are so much better.

Zach Myers Locking tuner replacement - cuation

Installed new Kluson Revolution non collar locking tuners on the Zach Myers today. They fit but the black trim collar that goes on top was a very tight fit. Also the black screws were WAY too small so I just used the originals. The 19:1 is very nice. https://pin.it/1539neE P.S. I replaced...
