Zebra squabbins?

I know the story behind the square bobbins, and I think it's a steal of a move for PRS, so intuitive it's stupid no one else seems to have jumped on the idea first. Problem is I want Zebras. This matter is further complicated by the fact that I have a 408. Do I have to have these bobbins custom made, or can I customize the ones I've already got on my guitar? Does anyone do this? Is this even possible? Any insight would be...surprising. No one seems to know

I might be wrong, but they won't do the pickups by themselves. I'm sure they would do it as part of a Private Stock guitar.

You were right Jose, I contacted Private stock and they offered to build me a new guitar. Very generous gesture. Anyone else have any ideas?

PTC, maybe send your guitar in for a setup and have them install zebra 408 pickups. other than that not sure you have other options

Apparently they just do no offer 408 pickups in Zebra and therefore flat out refuse to do it. Thanks for the answers though everybody

That's precisely what I meant. Zebra 408s are otherwise a dream only.
