What do y'all do for a living?

You need to find a student not using their tickets(if your University does that)...I know at UCONN most students sell theirs...;)
As long as I don't get caught. Kind of frowned upon around here. People camp out for free tickets.. basketball is kind of a religion upon itself 'roun here.

My day job is writing/producing music soundtracks for TV commercials.

As a sideline, I come here and annoy everyone.

Here's how old/past it I am: I have no idea what an engagement manager does. I'm absolutely clueless.

I believe Les! ;) hehe

I do background investigations for the State on people who abuse children.
It has taken it's toll on me.. Four heart attacks, ulcers, and other ailments, and I sleep very little anymore.
It's a far cry from what I used to do, working on the floor of the NYSE and AMEX as a specialist, doing session work at night, and playing in 4 different bands. Ahh, the good ol' days!

My job is to buy PRS guitars and I raise money by working in the IT Department at your local alphabet soup organization in order to accomplish my mission.

I should also add that as a member of the IT Department, it is my job to accept the blame for everyone else's problems.
Can't get your work done? Just say, "IT has my computer."
Didn't save your work to the network drive? Just say, "IT lost all my data."
Want to take off early on Friday or avoid having to telework on the weekend? Just call in a ticket late in the day on Friday and then take off! If anyone asks, just say "My computer is having issues and I have a help desk ticket number".
And for the big doosey...wait for it,... wait for it...
My job is to also keep my mouth shut when I realize that I'm the one who knows how to use a freekin' computer yet YOU are the one who makes twice as much money as me!

:p

I are an engineer by schoolin', and a tinkerer, and a jack-of-all-trades-and-a-master-of-fun. Literally.
Designed and built my own energy efficient home out of the dirt under my feet with my own 2 hands (and only my own 2 hands, ...well plus a whole lotta help from a bunch of old dead plant material from the age of dinosaurs!) and did all the trades myself with help when 2 hands wasn't enough.
The fun? I play PRS's baby!
I got to looking for a guitar that had a bit more spacing than the Les Pauls but not as long as the Fenders that I found difficult to play near the nut. I tried some Ernie balls, and Carvins, and then found PRS. My first was an S2 SCSH

Holy cow, some folks have all the luck and fun! Music with a penchant for PRS's, photography and an aquarium store? I love looking at my daughter's fish and so they don't have to worry about ever going hungry. You get to watch all the different colors in quantities only dreamed of by us hobbyists on the other side of the counter. You are truly blessed mr Anim8me2. The only hard part must be when folks come in to take them away from you, but hey they leave some money behind too, so it's not all that bad, eh?!!

Cheers Tucson_Don.
Welcome to the forum.

Thank you thank you. I love learning about all you other gear heads too!
You know, I found this one through the Why Are PRS's So Popular forum from The Gear Page or TGP.
The interesting thing is that I almost got a Carvin as my 3rd electric because it has reverse phasing and a piezo bridge. But instead I sucked it up and committed to buying the most beautiful P22 I could find, and it turned out to be an orange fade P24 with a satin finished Maple neck and rosewood fretboard with beautiful paua birds. I asked if it could be changed out for some 53/10 pickups for the full price, but they accepted my lower offer as is and said it would ship out the next day, but after I scraped up the finances for it right then, it turned out to be sold already. :( Where's the crying your eyes out emogee, eh?!! This is the second time this has happened to me in my quest to have a piezo guitar, as I've been working on the side and saving for a while and had my eye out for the screaming deals. I found a new 2012 private stock with the crushed gemstone bird in the head and fret markers, in a Solana burst color. Literally, for 'a song' it was priced to move! And then some other super smart right thinking person saw it hours before me in the store and put it on layaway. I waited 2 and a half weeks before looking some more. Then I found this P22 that was a beaut! It looked like that tequila sunrise drink, and I was going to have it in time for the charity show we do once a year in November.

So now I'm going to have to special order my "Guitar of a Lifetime" and I'll have to wait. The owner of the store that was selling it is reportedly going to MD to PRS to pick out the wood for my new guitar himself this week, and I'll get pictures of it and the neck, too, or so I am told. And despite the finish being discontinued, they've got enough left to do one more.
If Mr Paul reads this and can get this axe built in time for Christmas I'd really have a Christmas miracle. We'll have the week between Christmas & New Years off, so I'd have a whole week to play with it. And with the guys in the band not having to work either... oh man what a bummer.
What do I do for a living? I wait for a living.

Sales executive for a software company in the data field. My goals are to become the master of all time, space, and dimension. Then I'd like to travel to Europe.

Yeah, I have to say it doesn't suck. Plus I used to photograph models for a living so...

But seriously, which is your favorite axe in your stable, and why?
You know what? If they'll let me do it, I'll try a forum topic on this.

Thanks for doing what you do. Our first daughter was in the NICU for a week before we could take her home. If it weren't for a few great nurses, I'm not sure we'd have survived emotionally.

You are so very welcome and thank you for noticing. Truthfully, it's folks like you that allow me to continue. I'm thankful things worked out well for your daughter. As you might have already guessed, it doesn't always end that way. Now...you get to deal with the boys later in her life. Yes...good luck with that one. At least you will get plenty of guitar time waiting for her to get home at night.
