Back in August Last year, we made our Wood Library and Private Stock Run Selections at PRS. In the Wood Library we selected woods for 20 Guitars. 10 CU22 Semi Hollow, and 10 594 McCarty Satin Guitars.
The 594 Run included 5 with 1 Pc Quilted Tops and Indian Rosewood Necks..

THE. PERFECT. RUN! Love the satin finish! But you already knew that! ;)
 
What happen when you have a crash on a satin finish ? If it's like car, using polish and you will have a gloss finish spot
Not sure it will stay pretty with time...

They get glossy spots as you play them anyway. It doesn't detract much from their appearance.

That's part of the charm of a satin finish. It gathers patina over time, as will the brass an nickel parts. After a few years of playing, it will be broken-in like a nice pair of leather gloves.
