This is a bio of Tom Petty, the bandleader, songwriter, husband, father, etc. If you ever hit a Mike Campbell lick or sung a cover of one of his songs, this book is for you. Great interviews from some of the biggest names in the 'record' business. There aren't many 'road war stories', just the dynamics of what it took to keep a career like his going for 30+ years. And the people he met, played and recorded with? How about George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, just to name a few of the heavyweights...

This is not a 'rig rundown', in fact the only guitar I recall being mentioned was his acoustic, a Gibson Dove.

I got mine from the local library(on a budget), but it's already a Best Seller on Amazon.

It's my opinion, this is the one and only bio to read about the life and times of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

Highly Recommended~!
