SE Cu24 pickup magnet type?

Anyone know the magnet type fitted to the 2014 SE Custom 24 pickups please?

I find the stock pickups lacking a little in the high end and was considering changing the magnet type to experiment but would like to know what type is installed as standard.

If they are the SE HFS and Vintage Bass, the HFS will be ceramic and the VB will be alnico. The USA version is known to have used A2, but I want to say the SE version uses A5.

I did some tweaking with the 7-string version of these pickups and A5 was an improvement to the HFS for me, but swapping stock mag for an A5 didn't get me anything.

Since you're experimenting, look in to the DiMarzio "half air" mod. That made a marked difference on my 7-string HFS.
