I have 3 305"s. I have been trying to set the action on all 3 the same. On 2 of them the saddle screws on the B & E string are flush with the saddle however on the 3rd guitar the saddle screws on the same 2 strings are above the saddle. String gage is the same. Is this common
or can someone give me an idea what it might be? Thanks in advance

well, the saddle screws could be slightly different lengths (different lots, purchased at different times or cut on different machines), or the neck angle could be very, very slightly different on one (hand sanding the neck pocket could do that)... that's all I can think of... As much machine work as goes into a guitar, there's an equal amount of hand work, and very slight variations are likely, I would think...

Is the trem at the same height above the guitar? If the trem is higher on the third one you will have to lower the saddles to get the action the same which would raise the set screws.
