Col. Bruce collapsed on stage during an encore at his 70th birthday bash concert last night, and died later:

I first saw Jimmy Herring at a Col. Bruce show in the early '90s.

I guess it is a bummer, but I don't think he'd been able to choose a better way to go. Doing what he loved surrounded by some of the greatest musicians in the world. Celebrating his his life no less. Amazing. So I'd say I'm more lifted than bummed.
