Well, now that its been reimbursed, you can fix it. You can leave it as is til it opens up, but the longer the joint is exposed to air and grime the harder your repair will be.
If you CAN get the joint open, you can inject woodglue into the crack and clamp it back, but you want to make sure it opens enough to get the glue in far enough to get in the whole break.
If you pop the pickguard you might have a better idea of where the break is heading under there - ie in fresh body wood or is the tenon separating.
