Clearly, not everyone's cup of tea....Willcutt still has a bunch of these NOS available for purchase. I was lucky enough to be able to buy this NOS version from the original owner last week. Not quite a "dragon" but I've always coveted this model, and I think the inlays are quite elegant. I am not aware of any "Phoenix inlay" models, other than the 10 that were commissioned for Willcutt in 2007. This is from that batch.

as you mentioned "not everyone's cup of tea" : despite this inlay is really beautiful, It's a bit "too much" for me,

BUT,

BUT, what a TOP and what a flamed mapple neck !!!

... and there is a big chance that the fretboard is braz ?

For all of this , it's enough to own this beauty !!! :top:

Congrats

Hb

Yes....BRW board and headstock veneer on a maple flamed neck. A Joe Knaggs era Private Stock.

I love the inlay
Might spend more time staring at it than I would playing it
the back of the neck is wow!

There is another; the original -- which is (or was) owned by Fred "Fwarhola". These 10 were fashioned after his.

Nice grab, by the way!
