Pickup Question

I had listed my Custom 22 on Reverb this week hoping to sell and fund my "Jones" for a SC58. I have and love a Custom 24 so I have been thinking a nice singlecut would be in order. Then of course I got to thinking hey why not just replace the Dragon II pickups with the 59/09?

So the question is anyone have or heard the 59/09 pickups in a CU22? If so thoughts on tone, thoughts on compared to Dragon II or just stick with the original plan and sell the 22 and get the SC58....

I have 59/09's in a Cu24 stoptail so it's like a Cu22 with 2 more frets. I like them there, but they are aggressive.

I had 5909s in my Mccarty for a while and they sounded fantastic. The 5909 bridge is going back in it. 5909 bridge 8515 neck. This might become my favorite pickup combo ever.

I put a set of the Jim Wagner Godwood pickups in my CU24 and I really do like them. Whenever I pick up the 22 now it seems lacking after playing the 24 tonewise that is, great guitar otherwise...

I pulled the Dragon II from my Cu22 and put a 59/09 in the bridge and a 57/08 in the neck. Sounds killer! I say, do it!
