This group of pics is my happy place...:)

Fantastic shots, my goodness.Touring around tracing those ancient footsteps would be a dream come true. And I would eat everything, I'm pretty sure.

Welcome back.

Thanks. It was really amazing to experience this with my son. He loves ancient Rome and he's the president of the Latin Club at his school, so this was extra special for him. And I did eat everything! I gained 5 lbs, but my wallet is much lighter, so I guess it's a fair trade off?

Italy is such an amazing country! Were you able to get to Pisa and check out the baptistry? A gelato-a-day at about 3 kept my son(he was 9 at the time) under control until dinnertime!

I visited Pisa a few years ago, but we didn't make it there this time. However, I've never been to the Amalfi coast, so a return trip to Italy is probably in my future if my wife has her way.

The baptistry in Pisa is a must if you get back...make sure you are there for the harmonics display...gave me goose bumps! And Amalfi is amazing! Lemons as big as your head! And what can you say about Sicily...

Ok be kind, these are a couple of pen and ink drawings that I did for a friend, a few years ago.

I happened to be visiting them at the weekend. They are taken on an iPhone, so not the best quality and I know there’s reflections, because they are under glass.

In the style of E.H.Shepherd.

You're the one I always envied in art class! Really wonderful stuff, I adore all the detail and shading.

Very nice. On a recent plane ride I watched a movie about AA Milne and his son, Christopher Robin. Apparently, the boy grew to hate Winnie the Pooh because it thrust him into the public eye and he never wanted to be there. It's ironic that Pooh has brought so much joy to so many people over the years, but it brought misery to CR Milne.
