Too close to the casinos in CT.........
So I picked up today locally a 1989 Standard 22 in cherry red. Wings and Dragons along with a stoptail and moons. Five way was yanked in favor of a three way toggle but the original five way switch is in the case. Wide thin neck carve with excellent original frets and for the most part the rest of it is pretty excellent as well. Plays spot on and sounds like an all hog beast should with OG Dragons for vocal cords. Such a minimalist guitar but I can’t think of anything outside of cosmetic appointments it needs. No pics yet but will work that out tomorrow.
 
Great score, can't wait to see pics. It leads me to a question though did some 1997 -1999 standards have maple caps? the reason I ask is that I've seen 3 gold top's and 2 black topped PRS all listed as standard but clearly with a maple cap visible as binding. I've got to I freakin love my 2001 trans purple standard 22. Hope you get many hours playing in good health out of her.
