Black or clear would do it. Heck, even gold would be better just going off the choices I've seen available on SE's.

I agree -- pretty much anything else would've been better. I particularly like the idea of transparent.

Even if they were the transparent speed knobs that came on the ZM. The amber ones can photograph well but IRL... they get tossed in my house.

My favorite would be a clear/black PRS lampshade knob:

You can use a PRS SE clear knob (from a ZM) and paint it on the inside in your favorite color:

Here I used a touch-up pencil with a silver car finish.
