More Clips, Less Talk

Ok, disclaimer: I did this a while back for a friends birthday. It was totally off the cuff. Didn't even know what I was going to play or how I was going to play it. And it's one take, no edits, etc. so please be kind! LOL He said he wanted to hear me shred a little, and he's a big Hendrix fan. So I hit "record" and started. After the little intro, I got the idea to do a little "Jimi at Woodstock version of Happy Birthday, with the rockets and bombs, etc. Then I decided I might as well go into Purple Haze, like he did at Woodstock. I was recording this with headphones, and with a Line 6 POD, so my dog couldn't hear anything and she didn't get seeing me sit and make all these motions but no sound. At the end you can hear it, she jumps up and hits the guitar! I faded out a second later.

Here it is.

That was freaking AWESOME. Oh how I wish I had your chops, man!

https://soundcloud.com/edward-bernard/the-wet-dark-somebodys-watching-me - PRS 408 Rosewood Neck Ebony Board for Rhythm and Lead Tracks except for the Low A rhythm track

I just got a Zappa Private Stock a few days ago in trade (still waiting to find time for pictures and a NGD) so the next new track will be all that!

EDIT: These are both metal. Adjust your computer speaker volume accordingly...

Nice playing! Everyone on this Forum plays better than me, darn it!

Here are a couple from January of last year. I got mixed in the right speaker for some reason, even though I'm on the left from the viewer's perspective.

HBII with Lollar Low Wind Imperials.

The second video didn't play for me, but I dug the first one! Good sounding band, nice tones, great playing. What's not to like?

Thank you for the kind remarks!

Garrett, same here bro. I like the first video but the second one would not play

Les ... I can't find the blushing emoticon.... But I'd put it here!

This is great thread/proclamation/encouragement, Les! Being still kinda new here, I am amazed how this long going thread is making it back to the surface. At the same time, I am a bit struggling how quick threads are flowing down off the front pages.

Been posted before the other day but this is the only video/audio i have of my PRS so far. I'm currently working on some tones as these were all made from my old 22 SE with Tremont pickup.
The tone quest is a daunting thing.
Dude freaking awesome video, I think you've just inspired me to make better videos. Mby will take some time to get some gear to do so. Great video, I enjoyed it alot!

Glad I read all the posts in the thread.

I have the most embarrassing video of our "band", but it hardly counts as a "gear demo". It could probably be used for interventions to demonstrate the dangers of alcohol.

Here is a recording of a MM Baritone I had for a brief period. It's through a Line 6 PODxt with some metal amp model, God knows what.
