Model year?

Seeking to identify a guitar that a friend of mine is buying second hand.
I’m thinking it’s a 2008 Custom 24 but I’m not familiar with a lot of the older models from before that time.
Just looking for some clarification from the more knowledgeable here.
It’s a custom 24 with a rosewood neck, Hollow J birds, and a rotary switch.
Serial number stamped on the headstock is:
8 132008. And a 10 in the corner for 10 top
Looks to be in great condition at the price of an S2.

Serial should be 07 but with the 8 it's 2008..serial is close enough and probably has to do with finish date or something.

He snagged it, says the neck feels incredible.
The rosewood from that era seems a lot more figured than what is being used in more recent years. I have a 594 singlecut with a RW neck and it doesn’t have grain patterns anywhere close to that one.
