Whether a strangely prophetic ode to NYC, or just a jaded song billy Joel wrote in the mid-70s, in response to LA's bashing of the then down trodden big apple...
It seems billy has had history repeat itself, and the lyrics seem to have more meaning again than when first penned nearly 40 years ago.
Lets all hope billy and the rest of us never have to endure another event that brings this songs eerie ironies to the forefront, and it once again becomes just another entry in Billy's back catalogue of mid seventies tunes. (Maybe after 2017)
