Let's see those dogs! (and other pets, why not?)

Greyhounds are very sociable but man, no more stuffed animal parties...

no more stuffed animal parties.
Our Poppy had a basket with 27 - that's right, twenty seven - stuffed animals that we called her babies. She'd take them outside, carry them around and play with them like they were her pups. Brought them back inside, covered in leaves, dirt, and twigs, only to carry them around the house. It was stressful when we'd declare a "wash the babies" day...she'd stand in front of the dryer and wait for them to come out. Then she couldn't decide which one to play with first. The bad part was talking with the neighbors after cutting the yard and accidentally hitting one of the stuffed animals. The look of awe in their eyes when you casually state, "I had to pick up the remains from a dead baby in our back yard" reminded me that they may not get the reference.

We too have a laundry pail of "babies" and oddly, the one at the bottom always is the one that needs to come out.
Regardless of what order they go in. o_O

Now stop all this talk about blue guitars and rub our bellies!

I love dogs, I do, but I'm often gone for 12 hours +, so my lifestyle just can't handle that middle-of-the-day walk, whereas cats will just get cranky (they won't start to tear the place up until well after 12 hours).

Bobby in front, Skye in back. Skye is borderline feral, but gets really friendly right around the time I leave for work (perhaps because there's a hint of mint in my soap), so I don't have as many pictures of her, but Bobby is downright clingy, so has spent many hours in my lap and kneading my chest and/or belly (depends how much I'm slouching). Also, he likes being high:

As any good cat does, Milo enjoys long naps in open guitar cases whenever his schedule allows for it.

While Magoo is quite a bit more interested in the hunt for tone. As well as porcupines and nylabones.

Daisy has zero f&%@s to give about anything. But she kind of matches the Hollowbody.

and one more just to show I'm not lying about her:

We have a super cute pair of siblings adopted from the Humane Society. They're such goofs.

Beast #2 comes running whenever I open up my guitar case. She of course loves trying to cozy up in there, but every time I start picking on the 594 she sits close and stares at me like I'm a wizard. If only my on-stage experiences were so positive, haha.

We have seven of those in the house now. Best dogs every. I'll have to get pics of them on to Photobucket to share.

I fell in love with a couple of Greyhounds at a rescue's exhibit during the Pet Expo in town. I love when they lean into your legs.

If we didn't have 2 dogs already I'd have one.

Oh and my son is an excitable toddler... and likes to wrestle with our English Bulldog. I understood from talking to the woman at the rescue agency that usually Greyhounds aren't placed in homes with younger kids because their skin is quite fragile.

These two are very cute.
