Larry Coryell - RIP

I saw him playing solo one night in Gilly's up in Dayton. He was incredible. He got the house band up with him later and tried to get them to hang with him. That didn't go as well as he hoped. A few years later, a friend of mine would take a train from NYC to Connecticut to take lessons from him. His memory was that Larry's wife would come in exactly on the hour and say, "Time's up." Larry would say, "Aaah, I'm not quite done." May he rest in peace.
