Help with serial number

Hi folks,
I bought a used PRS custom 22 2009 blue matteo 10 top, but the serial number doesn’t correspond with the numbers I found on the site.
The serial number is 09 145481, but in 2009 the numbers are 146420 - 159132.

Can you confirm that this number corresponds to an original PRS?

Any help would be appreciated!

Your best bet would be to email PRS customer service. They are very helpful.

The serial number listing on the site is approximate, so there can be some overlap depending on when guitars were ordered and completed. But I agree it's best to email the SN to PRS and they can share more details.

Your SN is only off by less than 100 to be in the "approximate" range. My guess is that the guitar got delayed for some reason, was supposed to complete before end of year, but wasn't officially finished until January, so it got a "09" year designation, even though the serial number was issued much earlier.

I sent an email and they confirmed, its all right, the number is correct.
