Alright folks lets try something fun! Help us build a Private Stock!

We just got off of a Skype call with the PRS Private Stock team.
Here is a KILLER quilt top that we picked
Also, an Ebony fretboard with some 20th Anniversary red burl birds.
So, now we need your help!

What model should we do (has to be 22 frets)
What should the back wood be?
What should the neck wood be?
What COLOR should it be?

Comment to tell us your ideas! Feel free to attach some photos!
We will take all of your ideas and let you know the final outcome.

THANKS!

i am going to go of kilt on this but how about a HBII with the 85/15 in dragon's breath glow ( purple to red to orange in ctr) highly flamed maple neck with matching color of top along with headstock. as for the back , same as front.

Maybe in a perimeter burst to accent the color nicely on the neck

Now that i recall, you guys did have a tri burst on 2 models recently. it was a slate with a nice reddish maroon burst. I think that is the way to go on the color due to the birds on the fretboard. I think it would look killer with that quilt. another color could be a sandstorm fade.

Chery charcoal burst I believe it is called

Hans now your just teasing me by digging up an old wound.....

What model should we do (has to be 22 frets) McCarty Singlecut 24.6" scale
What should the back wood be? Black Limba...extra thick.
What should the neck wood be? Flamed Maple (3 piece neck), flamed maple binding (stained like back of neck)...around FB and headstock
What COLOR should it be? Persimmon Glow Smokeburst (HG Nitro top, Matching HS overlay, Neck same color satin nitro, Body HG Nitro natural)
Ebony rings, knobs, switch tip, buttons
Narrow 408 neck PU, 58/15 bridge, sig switching mini-toggles for both, 3 wagon upper bout, Vol/Vol/master tone (P/P on tone for phase)

Red Crocodile skin case.

Crap, I had it all figured out til I read Hans' post. Here's my original thought:
McCarty Singlecut
Mahogany back with maple cap
Maple neck
All maple would be White Tiger, mahogany stained to match the birds....oh, ebony knobs with those birds on them as well.

Yes.

Thanks folks, keep em comin!
Tomorrow sometime I will post 3 or 4 ideas for this build based on some of these ideas coming in, then we can narrow those down!

One thing to mention - I probably will not do a Maple back cap because I typically only do that when it matches perfectly/from the same tree and I didnt see anything like that today. But, I will still consider!
