My 6120 Nashville is succumbing to binding rot after 41 years. The sad truth is that it wouldn't be worth much refinished and so I am thinking about recycling some of the parts into another guitar.

Anybody put Filtertrons into a PRS?

    Do it.

Would love to hear a side-by-side with a Core Starla, since those pickups are inspired by ‘Trons of some description.

You want photos of a Gretsch double cut 6120 Nashville with rotting binding? Or is that the single malt talking?

Do you have a suggestion for a model I should start looking for on Craig's List?

No, I feel your pain for the “binding rot” and don’t mean to mock your loss.

I mean the new PRS baby that you will bring into your family.

Just a little humour to ease the pain. A proper malt will help too!

There was absolutely nothing posted where I felt mocked. My response was based on feeling incredulous at the request but I was willing to post if that was what you really wanted ....

A Hollowbody would be a good place to start. Especially a Hollowbody Spruce

    Step one: Tequila.

    Those are already perfect.

Doesn’t it bring you peace knowing that I’m the one constant in your life?

I vote for an SC-J... might be tough to find secondhand, they didn't make too many, but to me that looks like a PERFECT platform for some Filtertrons...
