Okay, so whether you are happily married, single, polyamorous, too old to care, broken hearted, or are just gettin' butterfly's from some new interest, what are your hopes for Valentines Day? And can you convey it through a song?

Come on, don't be ashamed, everybody needs love.

Bonus points for anybody posting "99 problem's" by Jay Z

'I've had the Blues, the Reds, and the Pinks; One thing I know - Love Stinks!'
(Unless it's the love between a man, his guitar, and his music anyway...)

Me and my lady's love song would be "Those who fear" by Mind's Eye. A lovely rock ballad in 3/4. But since it's not on youtube, we'll have to make do with Jay Z:

This is the other side of the coin of my earlier post.

Where we start is where we end
We step out sweetly, nothing planned
Along by the river we feed bread to the swans
And then over the footbridge to the woods beyond

We walk ourselves weary, you and I
There's just this moment

I light a campfire away from the path
We lie in the bluebells, a woodpecker laughs

Time passes slowly our hearts entwined
All of the dark times left behind

The day is done
The sun sinks low
We fold up the blanket, it's time to go

We walk ourselves weary, arm in arm
Back through the twilight
Home again

We waltz in the moonlight and the embers glow
So much behind us
Still far to go

Good choice! :)

Since the first time I heard this, it's been the ultimate song about love fulfilled to me. I never found it myself, (and now it's too late), but I'm glad Vince found it because he strikes me as one of "The Good Guys". Plus, he's a pretty fair guitar player too.

Here's a song I recorded for someone recently. Funny how your brain goes into overdrive when you care for someone a lot. First time I ever recorded anything and the first time I actually finished writing a song ever.
Been playing 24 years basically as a bedroom guitar playing, so I figured I should get something done. It's a pop rock guitar instrumental I recorded with my PRS custom 24, PRS SE angelus and the nylon string is a Taylor.

I've listened to it so much as I was recording and mixing I have no idea if it's good anymore. haha
