I needed a set of monitor stands for my new studio and my new Mackie monitors and I had some mdf and speaker box carpet already in the garage so I decided to build me own. Below is a rough outlined process with pics.

Parts -
less than a 1/4 sheet of 3/4 mdf
1-12ft-4inch diameter toilet pipe
24-Bolts and nuts (6 for each pipe)
50 lb bag of construction sand
General purpose pvc pipe glue
77 spray adhesive (I had some of this left and I used with cement)

Tools
Circular saw
wrenches for the bolts
razor knife
Hax Saw to cut pipe
Cordless drill and Spade bit(if you want to countersink)

optional
Textured Paint or speaker box carpet (I didnt use the textured paint but I have seen other do this.)

AWESOME post man, I love DIY threads! They came out really really nice as well.

Thanks guys, just one thing to note I did not glue the top so I could swivel it for positioning.
