Just imagine if they'd also done the same in the film. You know like having Americans pretending to be British - it'd spoil the whole thing. Good job I checked and Derick is definitely British as British can be. From Nilford-on-Null in the good old West Midlands. I think people get confused as his cousin Harry Shearer looks just like him and I think Harry had visited America or something. I tried to visit Nilford-on-Null not that long ago but spent the whole day driving round in circles as my sat-nav couldn't seem to find it.
