WOW, didn't see this one coming but that's great. Anyone have opinions on how these sets compare to the 57/08's?

I personally like both better than 57/08s.

Shawn, why only uncovered 59/09s?

Hi Steve,

We are only offering them in their current form as used in the Custom 24. However, to keep it somewhat streamlined, they are only available with nickel hardware.

Great news!

I reposted the above picture and the number of the PRS shop on the Vintage Rocker forum, assuming that that's ok.

Cheers

Shawn, will the 59/09s at some point also be available in a version that is compatible with the 3-way toggle and push-pull coil tap?

Cheers

right now my favorite combos are:
Tremonti bridge with 5909 neck or 5909 bridge with 5310 neck. can't go wrong with them

Excellent news!

A couple questions though.

Will the 57/08s be offered like this any time soon?

Also, I just had ordered a 3 way push pull drop in assembly from you guys and am planning on doing the conversion to that from the 5 way rotary on my 2010(?) Custom 24 (in my avatar). It was LTD edition with covered 57/08s but with the rotary and I am going to change it to a toggle and push pull. Will the 59/09s with the new size of bobbins fit in my guitar without having to get new pickup rings? And I assume those would work with my new 3 way push pull assembly too.
