Hi
I have a 2013 PRS S2 Mira and I’ve always been a little curious about wether or not to upgrade the pickups given the amount of criticism those older Korean electronics seemed to get.
Upgrading the pickups to something like the Bare Knuckle mules would cost about 30% of the price of buying a PRS SE DGT which by all accounts sounds and feels amazing.
Is it worth upgrading? It’s never been super clear what the pickups already in the Mira are exactly. Paul’s marketing touted something more indie voiced but then I’ve read they were just the same as the 245 SE pickups but without the covers.
Volume and tone controls feel fine, but there seems to be a lot of talk about upgrading the pots too. What benefits for upgrades pots bring?
