I an considering trying the 52's. Set up for 46's currently. I tune to E flat.
I realise I will need a bridge adjustment as well as neck relief probably. My concern is if that change can cause binding issues at the nut? Any thoughts? Thanks.

The 52 and whatever the larger size on the A string may cause some binding at the nut. I put a thicker set of strings on my SE 7 with no need to tweak, and I put a thicker "top string" on my SE Holcomb (so it is a C string) without any issue. But maybe I am less finicky to minor binding in the nut.

I don't know if you will need much of a tweak in your setup, it isn't like you are going to 11s from 9s, you are doing the equivalent of a half-step up in string gauge. Also, if your set up was done for the 10s tuned to E, and you downtune to E flat, the extra tension from the slightly thicker set will be like going back to normal E (roughly).

I dunno, maybe, as mentioned I am just not good enough of a player to notice, but I don't tweak stuff when I change string gauges - I just slap them on and keep playing.
