I should add, I preferred the fret height on my '97 CU22 when I had it, whatever they were.

I love my 2023 594 Core, but at times I wish the frets were a little lower. It's a drastic change from my R9, which I prefer. The 594 almost feels scalloped to me, they're so tall.

Just had this done on my 594 and am so glad I did! Way more useable variety of tones and much more like my LP. Super glad I did it. 594s should come this way, really. Also put in Bare Knuckle Black Dogs, big improvement.

Can 50s wiring still keep the push/pull coil splitting? And I agree, it is a missed detail on the 594, for sure.

Then why didn't he use 50s wiring, I wonder? Has he ever said? It's the one thing I wish my 594 had.

I prefer high wattage. My #1 amp for years now has been a 90W Mesa Electra Dyne head + Recto 2x12 or Trad 4x12. The latter cab for band practice and the former for gigs. Lowest I could go would be 50W. I just love the punch and big sound of a big amp.

Still loving this gold top more and more! Got it out to another band practice and had a great time with it. Also getting to really like the single coil sounds, especially the neck pickup.

I’ve used this on nitro-over-poly before (AO Strat) and it worked well. Not sure about all poly, but could be worth a look.

I finally got to take this guitar to a band practice last night! Amp was my Mesa Electra Dyne and Trad 4x12. Analog drives and phase/vibe + wah in front, Stomp in the loop for delays, clean boost, noise gate + chorus/flanger. I had a great time with it and overall things went very well...

Mine usually do too, except for that particular one, which seemed odd.

Totally agree, but maybe they see forums as being dated/of another era, PR-wise? Less likely to reach young players or the future of the market. Whereas they’re pretty involved on Instagram, etc. My teenage kids don't even know what forums are, for example.
