I think there were 400 made in 4 configurations: singlecut humbucker, singlecut soapbar, double cut humbucker, double cut soapbar. May have been 100 of each, not sure. I owed a DC245 humbucker and SC245 soapbar of these. They are one of the best series that PRS put out. Oh and beautiful guitar!

I need to find someone who makes the tribal part in a sticker that I can put on my black Tremonti SE so I can pretend to be one of the cool kids. Someone on eBay used to sell them but haven’t seen them in forever.

They sound terrible with higher gain. Love the way my 57/08s and Tremonti’s sound.

So is the new sound better or worse or just different? I am currently talking to PRS to switch my P24 from 85/15s to the TCI metal pickups because I do not like the 85/15s and I want to try the Metal pickups. Need to make sure they are compatible with the piezo also.

what is the difference between the CU24/08 with this switch/control layout compared to the CU24/08 with a 3way pickup toggle switch and the 2 mini toggles between the tone and volume knobs?

I‘m in the market for another CU24 while mine is away at PRS getting refinished and I am really curious about these. Would like to hear some high gain examples. Is this just basically a Paul’s guitar in CU24 format?
