Not a direct answer to your question, but I briefly owned both an older W/F 513 and a newer pattern regular 513 at the same time, the W/F felt chunkier (too chunky for me) so I sold it.

I like getting more use out of the gain knob in high-gain amps by putting a 5751 instead of a 12ax7 in the right position of the overdrive channel. I'd like to do this with my Archon 25 combo. Anybody have an Archon preamp tube layout chart or know which tube position this would be in the Archon?
