Requesting help with minor cosmetic repair on S2 Satin

I bought a used PRS S2 Standard 22 Satin in Charcoal. It has two “crushed” spots in the finish where the underlying mahogany is shining through. Any recommendations on how to make repairs? I’m considering trying the black ColorTone Liquid Stain from StewMac to blacken the wood, but what...

S2 Standard 22 Satin head light and ass heavy

I bought an S2 Standard 22 Satin. I really like the guitar expect she is head light and ass heavy. When I play the guitar while seated and without a strap, the neck pops up and the body starts to slip off my leg. Very annoying. Any ideas? I’m thinking of replacing the existing tuners with...

PRS SE Custom 24 with 50s wiring?

Here's an updated wiring diagram of a PRS SE Custom 24 with stock G&B pickups and a CTS push/pull DPDT pot with add'l resistors for partial split coils (as mentioned earlier)... If this correct, I'll update the 50s wiring version.

PRS SE Custom 24 with 50s wiring?

PRS SE Custom 24 with 50s wiring?

Thanks again for the info, Garrett. Very helpful. I'll give the partial split coil approach a try. Looks promising. As for G&B pickups, I'm confused... From what I can tell the slug coils are north and using the black (-) and white (+) wires. The screw coils are south and using the red (-)...

PRS SE Custom 24 with 50s wiring?

The more I look at the diagram, the more I think the problem will be with polarity when the 3-way blade switch is in the middle position (activating both pickups) and the DPDT pot is pulled up (activating only the single coils). I just tested both of the PRS SE pickups with my multimeter. Slugs...

PRS SE Custom 24 with 50s wiring?

Thanks for your reply, Garrett. I tried following the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram for this configuration: https://docs.google.com/viewerng/viewer?url=http://www.seymourduncan.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/2H_3B_1V_1TppSPL.pdf And used the Lindy Fralin article “PUSH-PULL POT POWER!” to map...

PRS SE Custom 24 with 50s wiring?

I want to upgrade the electronics in my PRS SE Custom 24 and try out the 50s wiring scheme. The diagram below describes my plan. Did I get it right? Thanks in advance for your feedback. Much appreciated.
