I've emailed John Mann about this issue a few weeks ago, but he hasn't replied back so far.
What seems to be the problem? I changed the strings to a brand new set of Ernie Ball just a few days before taking the picture.
I'm sure that can be a great option on USA models because they are made to perfection, but if I am to judge based on my experience with my SE, I'd take an intonatable bridge any day. In my case it was quite badly set up, and I needed all the travel space of the saddles to get the 12th fret...
I want to stress that the MannMade 2300 should be a drop in replacement, both for imports and USA PRS. I did not even have to replace the stud wells. It's just the new studs that seem ~ 1 mm too long in my case. And AFAICT, I haven't seen any other SE owners complain about this specific aspect...
Update : I've had some time to look into this further, and it seems like the MannMade studs are slightly longer than the factory ones. That causes the stud to hit the bottom of the wells before it's fully screwed down. Does that mean I'm good for a drilling session ? :/
