Haven't swapped the strings yet. They were basically brand new. My bro in law is a luthier & does all my setups. I'll see him at Xmas, so I'm waiting to have him do a full setup &I'll find out then
Thanks. I'm doing some investigating into Gilmour. I think he had titanium transplants on his fingertips because those prolonged over bends on the G string make mere mortals bleed after playing that a few times
My new Santana in action. I didn't have a backing track, so I'm just playing w/ the album. Pink Floyd - Time

Yellow was the only one I was in the market for. The standards don't have the maple cap & I don't like all mahogany guitars. Don't really like the appearance of the painted ones either. Of course, everyone else feels the same way which is why the yellows are always more expensive. You can find...

One other quick question, I can't see a seam on the mahogany back in the one I'm buying. Am I correct that the wood is one piece on the woodgrain versions & 3 piece on the painted versions, hence the price difference...
Even if I'm entering the PRS Fanclub on the SE lower class deck, I couldn't be more excited to get that badboy in my hands. I've wanted one for a long time. I sure haven't seen any bad reviews on those Santana SE's. I will be interested to see if any of the members have experience with the...
Thanks for that info Corey. I decided i couldn't resist, factory pickups or not. I have wanted a Santana shape forever. This will do til i can foot the money for the real thing. If i need to swap those out, so be it
