I replaced the bridge pickup on my 20th anniversary McCarty a few years ago with a PRS \m/ and it became a rock/metal machine. I think these pickups are really underrated.

Don’t know about these but definitely the original McCarty ones are very dark and there are sometimes some for sale.

Interested on this too as my 2005 McCarty has started to show the dreaded white ghosting in some areas, I'm in Spain.

Finaly have decided for the blue Zach Myers as I found a good deal in a brand new one from a shop in portugal that ships to Spain. I'll keep my McCarty for the more metal tones and will use the ZM for cleans, blues, rock. If I don't really dig the pickups I might put in the ZM the McCarty...
