    Query?

If an authorized PRS dealer purchases a used, legitimate private stock where the documentation has been lost (stolen?), can he obtain a facsimile of the original COA. As consumers, I know that we can't get reprints or facsimiles of said item regardless of circumstance. Thanks for your help.

    Advice

I have about fifty guitars, most pretty high end. Of that number I have fifteen PRS, all of them Artist grade or Private Stock. They are all mint, in fact, factory pristine. Never played and never out of their case. I just turned 50 a couple of weeks ago, and for various reasons my life has been...

Having nothing to do, I went out for a few (lol) beer tonite. Haven't drank for months, and my best effort was only six beer over four hours or so. Anyway, whilst I sitting at the bar, I noticed a guy who looked exactly like Tony Iommi. I would estimate that he was in his early forties, but...

    WoodStock

Tonite PBS is showing Woodstock. I'm sure that most everyone has seen it, but well worth a re-watch imo. I'm going to PVR it. i've seen it many times, but it's like a good book ... see and learn something new every time i watch it.

    Guitar teacher?

no. you don't need personal guitar lessons. you can take them, but you don't "need" them. there are so many lessons available that the choice is enormous and confusing. here's the dirty little secret ... they are all the same ... teach the same material. buy a dvd from lick library for your...

    Can You Outgrow a Guitar?

no, you can't outgrow a "decent" guitar. to believe so is just a personal affectation to drive your ego. i doubt that you are that good. having said that, you can certainly outgrow beginner guitars and move into higher quality guitars. but, u can't outgrow your skill level at any particular...

    Advice (Or Not)

As the resident curmudgeon, I've noticed lately in the posts, that a lot of guys aren't as proficient as I believed. Nothing wrong with that, we all have to learn. I've always maintained that the only way to get really good on an instrument is to play in a working, gigging band, that plays a...
