PRS USA Nut... In Ivory or Bone?

Hi Shawn, so has the bone nut become available as a part yet? I don’t see it on the site.

PRS USA Nut... In Ivory or Bone?

That is great news! Just to be clear, I’m not hung up on the material or bone. This is purely for a look. I could take it to a local tech, but I’m competent enough with setups that I can install it myself, but would rather not have to cut the slots from a blank (because... why?) If PRS is...

PRS USA Nut... In Ivory or Bone?

Just picked up a used CU22 and have decided to spruce it up with ivory pup rings and tuner buttons. Adding an ivory or bone nut would further add to this facelift. Sadly, I can’t get a 594 nut from Paul, so short of cutting a bone nut from scratch, are there any known options for “drop in”...

Planning to get the SE Mark Holcomb and tune it to Standard Tuning, should I reduce string gauge?

I did. I went down to 42-09s and dropped in a Graphtech nut. Everyone has a preference. For 25.5 scales I like 9s. For 25/24.5 I like 10s.

John Mann SE Phase II tuners

I had a set for my Akesson SE. Otherwise, all my tuners in SEs have been Schallers. I went Mann purely for the look as a part of my “all USA parts” over haul in that guitar. IMO there’s not a difference, other than aesthetics.

New SE Model in the works?

    I hope it’s a 7-string Holcomb SE.

Vintage Style Tuners to Replace Phase IIs?

Looks like Schaller buttons are the “only” direct fit for phase II. At least from reading a few threads on here. Can anyone confirm this or can I get away with spertzel buttons?

Vintage Style Tuners to Replace Phase IIs?

Thanks honestly my first choice, but it appears (to me) that the shaft for the tulip style are longer than regular buttons. I could be wrong though. Haven’t been able to find a set of just the tulip buttons on Reverb. I’ll try allparts. Thank you.

Vintage Style Tuners to Replace Phase IIs?

Awesome, thank you I’ll look into those.

Vintage Style Tuners to Replace Phase IIs?

Hi all, Can anyone point me to a thread or suggest a “Kluson Style” locking tuner that fits a Phase II footprint? I have a Standard 22 (2006 satin mahogany jars tail model) that I think would look great with a set of vintage tulip tuners, but Klusons are all two screw mount while phase 2s are...

    NGD: PRS SE Chris Robertson

So not fair. If this were available in the US I'd totally pick one up. Love this model on paper and how it sounds thanks to your clip.

Best replacement locking tuners for SE Custom 24?

Schaller make top-lockers now. I prefer the schallers jsut because they are well machined. Not my favorite in terms of looks, but nice and heavy.

    SE Mods

My first (and still favorite) SE was the Akesson and I slapped Schallers, Tusq nut, Tremonti USA pups, and an RS guitarworks modern wiring kit. I recently got a Mark Holcomb SE and decided that the stock pots and switch are good enough and of course the pups are staying put. So I simply swapped...

    Black locking tuners for SEs

Stellar! I had forgotten about Warmoth! Even though I' not a fan of the "mini" buttons I suppose I can swap those out. Thanks a million Izzy

    2017 SE Models - Disappointed

Probably the calm before the storm. I imagine they are gearing up for a new line or wave of new stuff. I just picked up a Holcomb SE and wow, if this is what they can do from Korea now, I'd imagine there's more to come in the way of features.
