I have a 2003 HB II with the piezo and I just bought the PRS guitar care kit. The polish specifically warns the user not use this product on a nitro finish. So my question is: does anyone know what finish PRS was using on the HBII series in 2003?
Matonanjin: Anjin is Japanese for a pilot or guide and Maton makes guitars (although that is all I know about them) so I put 1 and 1 together and got the wrong answer. My bad.
Matonanjin: Very close. Neuroscientist, not neurologist. Good guess tho. The alternative interpretation of EEGMAN is that I am a dyslexic poultry farmer who also sells eggs. To turn the tables, perhaps you are a pilot or guide who enjoys Maton guitars?
How I first came to own a PRS Is a pretty complicated story that involves Keith Richards and a robbery and luck. I caught the guitar bug in high school when the British Invasion hit and my first electric guitar was an Egmund (guitar scholars will find that interesting as another George much...
I was sad and a bit surprised to learn that the Custom 20/50 and the HXDA are discontinued. I'm a couch player who recently retired and am beginning the long road back to being able to play out. I thought the Custom 20/50 line was perfect for me, a fan of Classic Rock and Blues. I played an HXDA...

Here's an original Vox Python strap I purchased at Rudy's in NYC circa 1966 or so. Never worn, still in the original case which has seen better days as it has been dragged from Brooklyn to Linden NJ to Madison WI to El Paso to Pittsburgh and then to Maryland, not 35 miles from the PRS...
I have a friend who loves his tele and wants to buy a second telecaster just to set up in open g for slide. My feeling is always that you should buy what moves you, but to not try a PRS before you buy something else is a mistake. Since I am not experienced with the telecaster, can this august...
A short video of Paul being awarded his honorary doctorate by our then President, Sheila Bair (formerly of the FDIC). Not exactly new news but worth a look.
