As you said, it came from the USA so there shouldn't be duty that needs to be paid. If they charge it then you have to go through the pain of getting it refunded. It doesn't matter if they were made outside of the USA. PRS pays when they come in so the duty has been paid.

Get it set up by a good luthier. The factory setup specs are listed on the website, should be setup the same as a core.

The pickup bobbin is plastic, the lead wires are insulated with plastic, the clear coat is essentially plastic... The pickup rings are a non-issue.
