Damn! Nice top. Good choice on the pickups. That’s exactly what I have in my Custom 24 SE ‘17

    NGD...again

The blemishes are very minor and I don’t notice them at all. It definitely does not affect my perception or playability of the guitar. Honestly for the price I got it, pretty sure it’s a steal of a deal (at least I hope so). I don’t even know how much these went for brand new.

    NGD...again

Yes that's exactly the point I made. Don't tell me it's brand new, then when I call when receiving tell me it was on clearance because of the very minor damage. I would've been fine it if they just advertised it as so.. like Demo / shows sign of use. Yeah the color is quite cool! I like it :)...

    NGD...again

Yeah I set it up myself as best I could. It’s playing really well and helps that I had a brand new S2 to use as a reference for measurements.

    Ever notice how...

I was like that as well. Got a Zach Myers in January, SE Custom 24 in February, S2 Singlecut SH in a March, and now an SC245 just yesterday. My search is over. They are all amazing.

Oh really? Damn didn't even that would be possible... it would then closely match the bridge pickup?!

    57/08 wiring struggles

Haha I don't mind it, it's just when there are no clearcut diagrams for specific pickups it makes it tough to research. I just got fed up and figured something has to work. Now I have another problem which is the pickups are mismatched (older 57/08 is brushed nickel finish) and new one is a...

    57/08 wiring struggles

Finally figured it out, I decided since I couldn't find the information, there could only be so many combinations to try. The correct one was: White to hot, red to split, black to ground and bare to ground. Wow what an ordeal! lol

    57/08 wiring struggles

Everything seems to be connected properly, if not, I would assume there would be issues when running each individually... no? I really appreciate the help... But I'm stumped as to why when going to middle position almost seems to like it is triggering a coil tap?

    57/08 wiring struggles

I will describe all positions and where the issue is now. (At least I have volume). Bridge: no issue Bridge coil split: no issue Neck: no issue Neck coil split: no issue Neck + Bridge: ISSUE (volume dies down), and I can tell they are not working together. This is my favourite position for...

    57/08 wiring struggles

Yes, but it's still not functioning properly. So I wired black to hot (volume), red to split (push/pull), white to ground (tone), and bare to ground (volume). Individually they seem to work, in middle position though, the volume is really low, and it I turn volume down a bit suddenly it...

Oh and to clarify, I’ve tried red to volume, nothing, black to volume, nothing. Do black / red go together? Or red / white? Or something lol...
