    Tips on Buying Internationally

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I have already been in touch with Brian, his run is what fueled the GAS. Unfortunately the only ones he has left are the gray/black fades, and I think it's too close to my Tremonti charcoal burst and SE Holcomb in color. I have thinned my herd and was looking...

    Tips on Buying Internationally

Hi all, I’m considering buying a 509 with Artist Package upgrades from one of PRS’s International Distributors. I can’t seem to find exactly what I want domestically, and I think it would take a dealer special run or something like that to get it locally. That’s why I’m considering this one I...

    Tremonti 7 String

No, you're right. I was never sure if the singlecut was a modded SE or a Core guitar, though. But there's definitely pictures out there (and I saw it live, too) of a black doublecut SE 7.

    Tremonti 7 String

I have sold it. It was a beautiful guitar, but I liked looking at it more than I liked playing it, so it didn't stick around (it was the only non-PRS I had). Great guitar.

    Tremonti 7 String

I only know of the one recorded song across all of his bands that was recorded using a seven string. With the timing of the guitar, I'd bet we see a song or two on his upcoming Tremonti album with a 7. That being said, I just don't think even he uses a seven string enough to warrant a...

    Tremonti Baritone Hybrid Limited Run

Posted this in the General Discussion thread as well - but in this video at around 5 minutes in, Tremonti shows his in Drop C with an 11-62 set. Which means the Core model is basically tuned only a half step lower (from drop C to C# to C#), but the bottom string goes from 11 to 14 gauge.

    Mark Tremonti Baritone Limited Edition

Thought it was interesting that, in this rig rundown at least, Tremonti is using his baritone hybrid in drop C with an 11-62 set. About the 5 minute mark.

    Holcomb output pretty HOT

Without knowing the specs, I would say that the pickups are pretty high output. But, I also have a 2i2. And when I was researching before I bought it, I read many times that going direct in was NOT a good idea (for the reasons you mentioned). So, I bought a mic. I would bet it's the 2i2...

    Tremonti Baritone Hybrid Limited Run

WHOA! That is some news! Can't wait! Wonder if it's going to be the low-wattage one we've been hearing about. Originally, I thought it would be. But if he's wanting one to use live, it makes me wonder. Personally, I like one for my bedroom.

PRS Tremonti SE Custom - Humbucker / Trembucker

Just FYI, when I put a covered wide-spaced Seymour Duncan in my CE 24, I had to modify the PRS pickup ring with a file to accommodate the larger pickup.

The "Official" SE Mark Holcomb Love Thread

I'm glad someone else has said this, because I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me! It really does look odd (if you're not used to it). I'll agree with this. The specs on this model push it above and beyond anything else in the SE line. This interested me, and for some reason, I...
